Cooperation with countries of origin
In the implementation of the repatriation policy it is important to cooperate with and obtain the cooperation from the authorities of the country of origin. DT&V therefore invests in maintaining good relations with the immigration authorities or other authorities of the countries of origin and their diplomatic representations in The Netherlands. This, among other things, involves DT&V making working arrangements with these countries with regard to the process of obtaining (emergency/replacement) travel documents.
Efforts to intensify the cooperation with the diplomatic representations and the authorities are also made. For instance, by paying working visits and receiving foreign delegations in The Netherlands. In managing international relationships DT&V closely cooperates with the Immigration and Naturalization Service (IND), the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
