Effective May 1, 2026, the amounts for reintegration assistance have been adjusted. These amounts apply to all individuals receiving return assistance, regardless of whether they are departing with the assistance of the IOM, an NGO, or the EURP (European Reintegration Program).

Migrants with a return order or whose asylum proceedings have been withdrawn are eligible for return assistance. Depending on their nationality, they receive assistance in preparing for their departure, during the first few days after arrival, and during the first year after departure. Adults who return voluntarily or independently receive, in addition to the usual basic departure assistance, €630 upon arrival in their country of origin (post-arrival assistance), as well as reintegration assistance worth €2,450 (post-return assistance). This assistance is provided in kind, for example, for housing or training.
