As of June 17, Syrians are eligible for return and reintegration support in the amount of the regular amounts. This stems from the amendment to the country of origin policy for Syria.

The support corresponds to the amounts as they apply to other countries of origin. Per adult this is €200 for basic departure support at Schiphol and €615 post-arrival assistance in country of origin. Reintegration assistance amounts to €2,000 per adult. For minors, this is €40 basic departure support, €615 post-arrival assistance and €1,000 reintegration support, respectively.

Cash or in-kind

Syrians without a return decision receive the support in cash at Schiphol. For practical reasons, the amount is then rounded to €2800 for an adult and €1650 for minors.

Syrians obliged to leave, who have received a return decision from the IND, will receive reintegration support in the usual way, i.e. in kind. This involves the use of the European Reintegration Program of the European Union. The support is provided in Syria by IRARA and ETTC.

For return support, Syrians can apply at Solid Road or directly to DTenV

No forced return

There is currently no question of forced return to Syria. Syrian foreign nationals can, if grounds exist, only be detained if a Dublin claim applies to them or if forced return to a country other than Syria is possible.
