Frontex has indicated that no funds are available from the European Reintegration Support Program (EURP). This is a temporary situation. EURP remains the preferred channel for reintegration support for foreign nationals subject to a return decision.
As an alternative, DTenV is utilizing the services of the IOM and ngo's. Support in the country of origin is then provided by a local IOM office or a partner organization of these NGOs in the country of origin.
There are some countries where EURP can provide reintegration support, but the IOM and NGOs do not facilitate this. This applies, for example, to Syria. In such cases, DTenV has decided to provide returnees with the value of the support in cash at Schiphol Airport. This compensation amounts to €3,200 per adult and €1,900 per minor child.
EURP has been in existence for several years. The program is funded by the European Union and is administered by Frontex. The goal of this program is to harmonize reintegration support at the European level.
