Duty ceases to apply
The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee uses a special letter to state that no costs will be passed on to the carrier.
The Marechaussee uses the letter 'no costs after claim regarding duty to return' to notify the carrier:
- that the carrier has complied with the duty to return the inadmissible person according to the booking request (and has not used escorts of the Marechaussee), or
- that the earlier imposed duty to return has ceased to apply. For example, because the inadmissible person has been granted a residence permit.
The carrier is not expected to take any action. The form is only sent as a notification, in order for the carrier to finalise the claim in its accounts.
