A subsequent booking request always relates to a booking request that has already been sent. It is used to convey changes or additions to the original booking request.
The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee uses a subsequent booking request to send the carrier:
- a reminder of a booking request that has already been sent
- an addition to a booking request that has already been sent, or
- a change to a booking request that has already been sent.
The applicable option has been ticked in the form. Other than this, the subsequent booking form deals with the same topics as a regular booking request.
A subsequent booking request serving as a ‘reminder’ is only issued once.
Action to be taken by the carrier
The carrier will book a flight according to the instructions in the subsequent booking request.
Possible next step in the process
- The carrier is sent another subsequent booking request
- The carrier is sent a flight cancellation request
- The duty to return ceases to apply
